Asset Management is a fairly new engineering management discipline and is often misunderstood to merely mean “maintenance”. CR Webster & Associates understand modern asset management as described succinctly in BSI Publicly Available Specification PAS55.

The reference document for asset owners is the Asset Management Plan, which details the asset management activities required for an asset to meet the asset owner’s policy, strategy, objectives and targets for a particular asset or class of assets, and also how the asset performance will be checked and where necessary, corrected.

As a result of a successful history with Asset Management, we have been invited to develop and present significant aspects of a three day Post Graduate Asset Management course to be run annually through Central Queensland University. The courses were well received by the industry attendees with practical course notes and classroom exercises reinforcing the learning.
